There are creatures that can kill you that you have to avoid, but most of them you just run away from-a task that is made artificially difficult by the horrible controls and limited stamina that you probably wasted just trying to progress. Unfortunately, your character moves slowly he can sprint for short distances but he runs out of stamina quickly.
